RUNNER VANE OPERATING MECHANISM FOR KAPLAN RUNNER

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the runner vane operating mechanism by employing normal steel, inexpensive in the cost of material, for manufacturing outside stem section. CONSTITUTION:The outside stem 13c is constituted integrally with the outside section of a runner vane stem while the runner vane 14 is attached to the end face of the outside stem 13c. In the inside part of the runner vane stem, a notched part 13d is provided between the inside stem 13b and the main body of the runner vane stem 13. The notched part 13d is made by casting without machining and the size thereof is determined so as to have a configuration flush with the outer periphery of the inside stem 13b or recessed slightly from the same even after the inside stem 13b is finished while the length l1 thereof is made slightly longer than the length l of the outside stem 13c. The outside stem 13c may be manufactured by the inexpensive material same as the material of the runner vane stem 13.
