METHOD OF IMPROVING GROUND PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION OF UNDERGROUND CONTINUOUS WALL

PURPOSE:To prevent entering around of concrete, by a method wherein, after a temporary ditch is excavated as a joint part between unit walls and a position, equivalent to the outside part of the sides of the joint, are filled with a stabilizing solution, the stabilizing solution is cured. CONSTITUTION:Prior to construction of an underground continuous wall 10, a temporary ditch 15 is excavated as a joint part 12 between walls 11 and 11' and a portion, equivalent to a ground improving area 14 including a peripheral part 13 outside the sides of the joint part, are filled with a stabilizing solution. Thereafter, after the stabilizing solution in the temporary ditch 15 is cured and the ground improving area 14 of a wall-shaped cured body is formed, a wall is built by an ordinary underground continuous construction method. This prevents entering around of the poured concrete, and prevents leakage of water past the joint part between the unit walls.
