Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To effectually suppress the vibration of the steering column and floor of an automobile in the idling of its engine, by disposing a dynamic damper under the bottom of the fore end of a front side member. CONSTITUTION:A dynamic damper D for suppressing the vibration of the body of an automobile in the idling of its engine is disposed in a space A under the bottom S2 of the fore end S1 of a side member S, which has such a boxlike cross section extending in the longitudinal direction of the automobile body that the fore end S1 is located in an offset position over the side edge C1 of a transverse member C. The side member S comprises a channel plate 8 and a closing plate 10 which is coupled thereto and constitutes the outside wall of the side member. The closing plate 10 extends downward so that the lower end of the plate is almost coincident with that of the transverse member C.
