EARTHQUAKE-PROOF STORAGE TANK

PURPOSE:To cope with the horizontal force acting onto a tank by accommodating a concrete inner tank into a sealed type concrete outer tank and holding the inner tank by allowing a plurality of tightening members whose both edges are tightened and fixed onto the outer tank to contact with the outer peripheral surface of the inner tank. CONSTITUTION:An outer tank 2 is a sealed storage tank for preventing the leak of stored liquid and formed of iron-reinforced concrete. Inside the outer tank 2, an inner tank 1 is accommodated in floated state through a heat-insulating material 3. A plurality of tightening members 4 are arranged in the horizontal direction in contact with the outer periphery, of the inner tank 1, and the both edges of the tightening member 4 are installed in tightened state onto the outer tank 2, and the inner tank 1 is fixed onto the outer tank 2.
