METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREPARING PASTEURIZED DISTILLED WATER

PURPOSE:To obtain certainly pasteurized distilled water, by a method wherein raw water is sent into a condenser which is limited so as to reduce the exhaustion amount of saturated steam and concentrated under high pressure while a temp. is held at 121 deg.C or more and, after 20min is elapsed, raw water is evaporated in a heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:Steam from a boiler is sent into the heating chamber 6 in a first heat exchanger through an arranged pipe 3. It is necessary to set the temp. of this heated steam at 121 deg.C or more. A valve 21 is closed while a valve 102 is opened to introduce raw water into the heat exchanger 1 through a preheater 26. The flow amount of raw water is throttled by a control valve 103 and set to 1/3 of less or usual operation. Raw water is evaporated in the heat exchanger 1 and steam reaches a condenser 60 and condensed therein. When a state for filling an apparatus with saturated steam with a temp. at 121 deg.C or more is held for 20min or more, all bacteria are killed and a pasteurizing state is obtained.
