APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING POTABLE WATER

PURPOSE:To provide a titled apparatus which is simple and can supply inexpensively cold or warm water by constituting the apparatus in such a way that the water obtd. by condensing the moisture in air with the evaporator of a refrigerator is subjected to mineral material addition, filteration, deodorization and sterilization and is then supplied to a water heater and water cooler. CONSTITUTION:The refrigerant condensed by a compressor 4 of a refrigerator 3 with an apparatus 1 for producing potable water is cooled, condensed and liquefied in condensers A, B5, 6 and is then evacuated in a restrictor 7 by which the refrigerator is made into an air-liquid mixture of a low temp. The mixture is admitted into an evaporator 8 and is subjected to a heat exchange with air A by which the mixture is evaporated. On the other hand, the air A fed by a fan 10 to said evaporator 8 is cooled down to the dew point or below to condense the steam therein. The condensate is passed through a strainer 14 via a dew receiving tray 12 and is put into a water storage tank 13. Such water is successively passed through a mineral material adder 20, a filter 21 and a sterilizer 23 by a pump 13 and thereafter the water is supplied to a water heater 25 utilizing the condensation heat of the refrigerant used in the above- mentioned condenser A and a water cooler 31 provided with a refrigerator of a compressor 32, etc. The warm and cold water suitable for drinking are obtd. from faucets 28, 39 respectively.
