REMOTE CONTROL SIGNAL TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To execute a remote control by receiving and discriminating a remote signal from plural input devices by a receiving device, and leading it to the main body of a computer apparatus. CONSTITUTION:Light emitting elements 10, 11 are provided on a keyboard input device 4 and an X-Y input device 5, respectively, and a remote control signal by an operation of both input devices 4, 5 is converted to an optical signal and transmitted by said light emitting elements 10, 11. This transmitted optical remote control signal is photodetected by a photodetector 13 provided on a receiving device 12, converted to an electric signal, and thereafter, from which of said both input devices 4, 5 it has been generated is discriminated in the receiving device 12. Based on this discrimination result, said signal is converted to a prescribed signal matched to an input signal form of the main body 1 of a computer apparatus, and supplied separately to one of input terminals 2, 3 of the apparatus main body 1 through wire leads 6, 7.
