MANUFACTURE OF CYLINDER WITH BELLOWS MADE OF FIBER- REINFORCED PLASTIC

PURPOSE:To manufacture a cylinder with a bellows whose cylinder section is thicker and more rigid than the bellows section by forming layers varied in the winding angle on the bellows section and the cylinder section of a tube body. CONSTITUTION:A resin-impregnated fiber 13 is wound on the inner die 3 at a low angle with a carriage 7 having a full-circumference multi-thread angle winding means to form a low-angle wound layer 14. At the same time, the resin- impregnated fiber 13 is fed onto the low-angle wound layer 14 to form a circumference layer 16. Then, the low-angle wound layer 14 and the circumference wound layer 16 on a die 6 for forming the bellows section are cut away. Then, the resin-impregnated fiber 13 is wound at a high angle with a carriage 7 having a full-circumference multi-thread angle winding means to form a high-angle wound layer 17. After the winding, the work is covered with outer dies 31, 33 and 35 to perform a cure forming.
