PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for retrieving data and make the transaction management business with customers quicker, by constituting a recording medium with an external storage device which can be fitted and removed, and by recording data which discriminates customers and transaction data. CONSTITUTION:When a slip for a customer is put into a slip slit 4, a CPU7 sends the account NO., transaction data, etc., of the customer stored in a memory 8 to a printer controlling section 11' through a bus. The printer controlling section 11' reads the account No. and the transaction data sent on the bus, and successively prints the read data on the slip by means of a printer 11. On the other hand, the CPU7 sends the account No., transaction data, etc., together with a write signal to a write controlling section 16 at a journal controlling section 10'. The account No., transaction data, etc., of the customer who has just made the transaction are recorded item-wise in a journal 10 which is constituted with an external storage device, such as floppy disk, etc.
