DEVICE FOR RECOVERING SPRUE OR THE LIKE IN POURING LINE

PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency of a pouring line by disposing successively respective devices for gate breaking, mold sand digging and sprue removal between a pouring station and a knock-out station of a pouring line thereby recovering the sprues, etc. from casting molds during conveyance and decreasing the operation for knock-out. CONSTITUTION:A gate breaking unit 6 which acts impact force or pressing force to sprues, a sand cut unit 7 which is provided freely liftably cutters for digging the mold sand on the sprue side to a prescribed depth and a sprue removal unit 8 which is provided with sprue clampers freely liftably and freely movably toward the line side from above the line are successively disposed between a pouring station 5 and a knock-out station 9 of a pouring line 1 in which casting molds 2, 2A are intermittently conveyed. The sprues, etc. which are waste materials are thus recovered in the time required for solidifying and conveying of castings.
