Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide titled alloy enhanced in cut surface finishing property, anti-wear property and tape running property, obtained by adding a proper amount of Zr, Cr, Mn and V to an Al-Cu-Mg-Fe-Si-Ti alloy having a specific composition. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy contains 2-5% Cu, 0.5-2% Mn, 0.25% or less Fe, 0.20% or less Si, 0.001-0.20% Ti and one of 0.05-0.25% Zr, 0.05-0.25% Cr, 0.1-0.8% Mn and 0.05-0.25% V and comprises the remainder of Al and impurities. This alloy contains no Ni and is reduced in the content of Fe and Si as possible and is one to which one or more of Zr, Mn, Cr or V is added. By this composition, an Al-alloy for VTR cylinder having good cutting finishing property, low in friction factor, good in tape running property and reduced in abrasion can be provided.
