Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To insert a vector into the microbial cells of actinomyces without utilizing protoplast method, by using a cosmid vector having a cohesive site derived from an actinomyces phage inserted into a plasmid derived from actinomyces. CONSTITUTION:An actinomyces cosmid vector, obtained by inserting a cohesive site derived from actinomyces phage into a plasmid derived from actinomyces, and having a cohesive site COS derived from the actinomyces phage and one or more cloning sites (kpnI, XbaI or ScaI, etc.). pR4C-1 (FERM-P No.7204), etc. may be cited as examples of the cosmid. The cosmid is obtained by inserting the cohesive site of actinomyces phage R4 into a ClaI restriction enzyme site of a plasmid pIJ365 derived from the actinomyces.
