ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE DEVELOPING COLOR TONER

PURPOSE:To give sharp color development performance and sufficient opacifying properties to a toner by using a mixture of a chromatic pigment and a chromatic dye soluble in org. solvents as a chromatic colorant. CONSTITUTION:A chromatic colorant is prepared by mixing (A) a chromatic pigment, such as C.I. pigment red 31, C.I. pigment yellow 6, or C.I. pigment green 2, with (B) a chromatic dye soluble in org. solvents, such as C.I. solvent red 3, C.I. solvent yellow 2, or C.I. solvent green 3, in a B/A weight ratio of 0.05-0.5. An intended electrostatic charge developing color toner having >=25% opacifying power is obtained by mixing 1-20pts.wt. of the obtained chromatic colorant with 100pts.wt. of a binder resin, such as PVC or polyester resin.
