SWITCH CONTROL METHOD OF MAIN MEMORY MAP

PURPOSE:To select an optional main memory map out of a man-machine conversational input/output device such as a console input/output device, etc. by storing plural main memory maps to a single auxiliary memory. CONSTITUTION:Plural types of main memory maps are stored to the same auxiliary memory 3, and a main memory control table corresponding to a main memory map is transferred to the proper area of the memory 3 according to the input/output information given from console input/output device 4. Then the table is transferred to the main memory 2 by an initial start operation together with a program with which a loader is stored to the memory 3 according to the contents of the main memory control table. Thus the main memory map is obtained. This main memory map is available in two types, i.e., an off-line main memory map 10F and an on-line main memory map 10N. These maps are stored to a magnetic disk device 30 in the form of the memory 3.
