Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enhance scratch resistance of an image by applying a soln. of a specified fatty acid or its ester to the surface of an image copying material bearing image information or its latent image. CONSTITUTION:A scratch resistant layer is formed on the surface of an image copying material by coating or impregnating its surface with a soln. contg. a compd. represented by the formula: Am-Bn in which A is a uni- or bi-valent optionally branched 11-20 conductive substrate aliphatic hydrocarbon; B is H, hydroxy, amino, nitrile, aldehyde, COOH, or alkylamide, alkylester, or a salt of ammonium or metal of group I -IV of the periodic table of COOH; (m) is 1, 2, or 3; and (n) is 2 or 3.
