BARREL POLISHING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To make such grinding as being high efficient enough and inexpensive in cost, besides undependent upon buff grinding attainable even in case of a long work, by molding a barrel into a cylindrical type with both long and short diameters in a section, while constituting it so as to be rotated by a shaft paralel with this cylindrical shaft. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical drum 1 is of square columnar in externals as a whole, having a rotary shaft 2 at the central part at both ends, and installed so as to be rotated by a proper power device. Likewise, a partition plate 3 is constituted of both parts of a section 4 and a short diameter 5. Next, opening a door 6, workpieces, water grindstones, etc., are put in each partition, and after closure, the shaft 2 is rotated by power whereby the whole body rotates, causing these workpieces to contact the water and grindstones, thus polishing takes place. In this case, since a work holding part is made up of both large and small diametral cylindrical forms, a transfer distance is large enough. Thus, such grinding as being highly efficient enough and inexpensive in cost is attainable.
