Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To enable the accurate deposition of a joint between the opening edge of a battery can and a battery cover without generating pinholes, etc. by specifying the position isolated only for the specific percentage of the welding diameter from the joint for the laser beam irradiation position. CONSTITUTION:After a battery cover 5 is fit in the opening edge of a battery can 2, the position isolated for alpha dimensions to the battery cover from this joint 6 is specified for the irradiation position of laser beam 8. A part of each of the opening edge of the battery can and the battery cover 5 is melted mutually by the irradiation of this laser beam and a deposition section 9 is formed and sealed within the range of the welding diameter beta. In this case, the relationship between the laser beam irradiation position isolated from alpha dimensions from the joint and the beta dimensions of the welding diameter is set to a value of beta/alpha=5- 30%. As a result, even when there exists a gap in the joint, the laser eam can be prevented from reaching the inner part of the battery and the joint can accurately be deposited. |
