Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To manufacture a carpet having suppressed dimensional change and high water resistance, by applying molten hot-melt resin to a carpet base under squeezing force, and pressing and laminating the carpet base to the second base fabric coated with a thin layer of a hot-melt resin. CONSTITUTION:The carpet base A is dried with the drier 10 to remove the attached water, and coated with the hot-melt resin 3 dripped from the molten resin tank 6 under a squeezing force using a doctor knife 7 attached to the lower roll 8 of a twin-roll mill. The second base fabric 5 coated with a thin layer of the resin supplied from the hot-melt resin tank 11 is introduced from the upper roll 9, pinched between the rolls 8 and 9, and is pressed and laminated to the carpet base A. The molten hot-melt resin is impregnated inthe pile of the base A to effect the bonding with the first base fabric, and at the same time, with the hot- melt resin applied to the second base fabric 5.
