SHEET FEEDER

PURPOSE:To assuredly take out a sheet pressed to a sheet feed roll and a separating member without deformation of sheets in drawing out a sheet feed receptacle by engaging stored sheets with the sheet feed roll when the sheet feed receptacle is inserted in a machine body. CONSTITUTION:A push-up plate 8 of a push-up member 3 is mounted on a rotatable shaft 6, and the shaft 6 is provided with a spring 10 for urging upward the push-up plate 8 and a driving arm 11 for applying fixed turning force to the shaft 6 at the time of mounting and demounting a sheet feed receptacle 1. A rotatable separating member 4 is provided with a spring 15 for urging the member 4 in the direction of pressing to a sheet feed roll 2 and with an interlocking plate 20 in such a manner as to be interlocked with the turning operation of the shaft 6. Further, a receptacle 1 is provided with an engaging portion 14 which is engaged with the arm 11 to turn the shaft 6 at the time of mounting and demounting the receptacle. In this arrangement, in inserting the receptacle 1 in the machine body, sheets stored in the receptacle are engaged with the roll 2 not to cause deformation of the sheets.
