COMBUSTION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable improvement of combustion efficiency and saving of labor, by a method wherein a device is constituted such that a furnace floor, on which ember and ashes are dropped, is formed in a staged manner, a high-pressure air supply nozzle is located at each stage, and the ember is blown away to an ash reservoir part at a lowermost stage. CONSTITUTION:Fuel 18, being woody chips, is charged through a fuel charging port 2, and is dropped onto a fire grate 4 for combustion. With the progress of combustion, ember, which is decreased in volume, is accumulated on a staged furnace floor 7. The accumulated ember is progressively reduced to ashes by means of a radiant heat from a combustion chamber 6 and the air. An air supply nozzle 9 is mounted at each stage of the furnace floor 7 to intermittently blow away the accumulated ember in a horizontal direction. The blown away ember and ashes are gathered at an ash and ember reservoir box 10. The gathered ember is reduced to ashes by feeding the air through nozzles 15 for reducing ember to ashes located on both sides, the ashes are dropped through a fire grate 12 for reducing ember to ashes and are gathered at an ash reservoir 13, and are conveyed to the outside with the aid of a screw conveyer 14.
