APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING DEPOSIT OF FLY WASTE IN SLIVER SUPPLY PART OF OPEN END SPINNING MACHINE

PURPOSE:A sliver feed part of an open end spinning machine, capable of preventing the entry of fibers into the gap between the top lid and the top surface of a feed roll and further deposit of fly wastes thereon, and having the gap reduced to about 2 times or less of the diameter of fibers. CONSTITUTION:A silver feed part having a gap (g) between a feed roll 4 and the top lid 20 reduced to 0.01-0.05mm. to eliminate the space for the entry of fly wastes into the gap (g) in providing the top lid 20 on a collector 2, the feed roll 4, presser 3 and a combing roll 5. Preferably, a gap (c) around the feed roll 4 is reduced to 0.05-0.5mm. to prevent the peeling of fibers in a place where the combing roll 5 approaches the feed roll 4, and the diameter of a vent hole 14 on the top lid 10 is reduced to 2-4mm. to reduce the flow rate of air flowing into a spinning unit. Thus, the static pressure difference is preferably caused to move the fly wastes.
