PURPOSE:A device for assembling a packing smoothly in a narrow space in a job of exchanging a pressure pipe of a pressure-pipe-type pile. CONSTITUTION:This packing assembling device is constituted of a pacing assembling fixture element 5 and a axially driving device 4 which drives the element 5 axially. The pacing assembling fixture element 5 consists of a packing fixture 24, which axially leads a packing 23, is divided into some parts, and makes freely removable connection to each other, and a packing pushing device 41, which pushed the packing 23 housed in said fixture 24, divided into some parts,and makes freely removable connectin to each other. Before the job, said deivce 5 where the packing 23 is assembled is fit to the collected pressure pipes to be exchanged. An operating arm 21 is elevated up near to the device 5 by turning an operating handle of a front- and-back shifting device 3 and an axially shifting device 4 and then assemble job is conducted.
