APPARATUS FOR CORRECTING MEANDERING OF TRAVELLING TEXTURE

PURPOSE:To improve conformity to meandering correction while permitting high accuracy meandering correction by supporting one ends of a plurality of guide bars arranged around a rotatable cylindrical member on a pivotable ring-like guide plate by two male screw members. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical member 4 is rotatably fitted in a shaft 1 fixed between brackets 2, 2 through bearings 3, and slide bearings 5 are radially arranged at a plurality of the outer peripheral positions of the cylindrical member 4. Guide bars 6 are axially slidably mounted on the respective bearings 5. To one ends of the guide bars 6 are attached rotary rollers 8 respectively through brackets 7, and the respective rotary rollers 8 is engageably inserted into a gap in a ring-like guide plate 9 consisting of two rings. The ring-like guide plate 9 is pivotably adjusted by female screw members 14a, 14b mounted thereon and screwed onto male screws 13a, 13b. The rotation of the respective male screws 13a, 13b is controlled by a drive means A on the basis of the output of a detector 20 for detecting the ear end of a travelling texture F.
