SOLID-STATE COLOR TELEVISION CAMERA

PURPOSE:To commonly use circuits of each system so as to miniaturize a solid- state color television camera, by constituting circuits for driving each solid-state image pickup element in such a way that smear signals read out from each element are read out at timings with a time lag of several horizontal periods between them. CONSTITUTION:A smear signal reading out controlling circuit 2' operates the horizontal shift register of a solid-state image pickup element 1 at different prescribed timings in a vertical blanking interval and supplies video signals to an amplifier 3. These original video signals containing vertical smear signals are supplied to an AD converter 44 after they are added and amplified and successively converted into multiple signals at a smear signal adder and amplifier circuit 42' in a smear correcting circuit 4. The digitized outputs of the AD converter 44 are supplied to each storage circuit 46 and digital smear signals are stored. The write timing is synchronous to a synchronizing signal from the smear signal reading out controlling circuit 2'. The stored smear signals are added to video signals at an adder circuit 48 and smear-corrected video signals are obtained.
