Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the titled adhesive which has excellent setability, good laminating rate and bond strength, gives corrugated board sheets of good quality and does not require heating, by mixing a paste soln. of low-viscosity starch with PVA. CONSTITUTION:Starch such as rice starch or tapioca starch is treated with an oxidizing agent such as H2O2 or an org. or inorg acid to obtain low-viscosity starch. 0.5-25wt% (based on the quantity of said low-viscosity starch) PVA having a degree of polymn. of 300-2,700 and a degree of saponification of 68-100% is dissolved in a paste soln. obtd. by dissolving 20-50wt% said low- viscosity starch in water, thus obtaining an adhesive having a viscosity of 50- 2,000 BU at 85 deg.C. Optionally, not more than 2wt% (based on the quantity of PVA) boric acid or borax is added to the adhesive, and an alkali is then added thereto to adjust the pH to 7.0-11.0.
