SPECIFIC GRAVITY METER FOR STORAGE BATTERY ELECTROLYTE

PURPOSE:To increase the accuracy of a specific gravity meter for storage battery electrolyte by providing the output-signal-treating circuit of the specific gravity meter with a sensitivity-correcting circuit and a zero-point-correcting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A shift-detecting element 4 is used to optically detect the position of a float 1 rotating around a fulcrum 2 in proportion to the specific gravity of electrolyte or a float 1 rotating around a fulcrum 2 in accordance with the liquid level of electrolyte. A correction circuit consisting of an IC amplifier 14, a zero-point-correcting volume 9, sensitivity-correcting volume 8 and the like is installed inside or outside the detector so as to produce as its output a voltage corresponding to a given specific gravity or liquid level. By the means mentioned above, a detector having a high accuracy and a structural interchangeability can be obtained.
