COMMUNICATION SYSTEM BETWEEN PERSONAL COMPUTER AND SEQUENCE CONTROLLER

PURPOSE:To decrease the communication waiting time with no complicated program by producing an interruption signal from a clock signal and a communication request signal given from a sequencer and supplying this interruption signal to a personal computer to start the communication to the sequencer. CONSTITUTION:The communication is carried out between a personal computer 1 and a sequencer 2 through an RS-232C circuit 3. The communication is started by an interruption signal A which is supplied to the computer 1 from an interruption generating circuit 4. The signal A is produced from a clock signal B given from a real time clock generating circuit 5 and an output signal C of the sequencer 2 thorugh an OR circuit 6. Ths computer 1 which received the signal A discontinues the execution of a program and performes an interruption processing program. Thus the comminication is started to the sequencer 2 through the circuit 3.
