APPARATUS FOR MEASURING TEMPERATURE OF COKE OVEN

PURPOSE:To ensure safety by reducing the weight of an instrumentation car, by installing an insulating trolley along a rail laid along an oven battery above coke oven, and arranging an instrumentation car carrying a thermometer utilizing heat emission on said rail. CONSTITUTION:A temperature measurement initiating signal is transmitted from a computer 9 through a transmitter-receiver 9, an insulating trolley 3 installed along a rail 2 and a current collector 7 to a transmitter-receiver 12 to travel an instrumentation car 1 along an oven battery above a coke oven 5, whereby the opening of the flue lid 14 of a combustion chamber where the combustion is suspended, the measurement of temperature recorded by a thermometer 6 utilizing heat emission when passed right above a flue nozzle 15, the store of a signal corresponding to the temperature measuring time in a memory tube 13 and the closing of the lid 14 are sequentially repeated, and the instrumentation car 1 is stopped when a limit switch 4 is detected by the car 1. The fuel feed system of the combustion chamber is then switched and the car 1 is traveled in the direction of a limit switch 11 in a similar manner to that described above, whereby the opening of the lid 14, the temperature measurement and the closing of the lid 14 are repeated sequentially.
