INSPECTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To facilitate the inspection of a weld zone and shorten the inspection time by providing an arm to a truck which runs on a rail so that the arm swivels and tilts, and providing a carriage which has a probe onto the arm movably. CONSTITUTION:The rail 27 and a presser roller 23 or fixed roller 24 are held at a prescribed gap by pressing the presser roller 23 against the rail 27, and the truck 2 is moved easily. The truck 2 is run by operating a driving motor 25 and then a driving motor 11 is put in operation to swivel a swivel table 3. For example, when inspection is carried out along a circumferential weld line, the arm 4 is put opposite to the weld line and then while the arm 4 is tilted, the carriage 5 is only moved along the arm 4. When the inspection is performed along an axial weld line, the truck 2 is only run while the probe 7 is set facing the axial weld line.
