HEATING PLATE TYPE DRY FIXING DEVICE FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY

PURPOSE:To supply efficiently heat to the image surface of transfer paper and to improve fixing performance by using the side opposite to a heating plate on a frame member surrounding a fixing device as a heat reflecting plane, and applying its opposite side with heat isolating process. CONSTITUTION:Heat necessary for fixation is conducted from the heating plate heated by a seed heater 6 to the transfer paper which is pressed against the heating plate by a fixing guide roller 9. The circumference of the fixing device is encircled with an inner cover 8 and a guide plate 11, and their surfaces facing the heating plate 5 are plated with chromium, etc., to form a reflecting plane A, which reflects the heat from the heating plate 5 onto the top surface of the transfer paper. The inner cover 8 and guide plate 11 are applied with heat isolation process on the side which does not face the heating plate 5, so heat near the heating plate is never conducted out.
