Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To draw a submerged towing member provided with sonar and so on to a position below a hull itself by connecting a sheave which is engaged with a submerged towing member cable to another sheave which is mounted on a boom projecting forward from the bow, by using a wire connected to a kite and winding a winch mounted on the ship. CONSTITUTION:A sheave 5 is attached to the middle of a cable 4 of a submerged towing member 3 which is provided with a sonar and so on and another sheave 2 is mounted at the tip end of a boom 1 which projects forward from a bow. A wire 7 having a kite 6 at one end thereof is laid across both the sheaves 2 and 5 and furthermore, the other end thereof is wound up on a winch 8 mounted on a ship. The kite 6 and the wire 7 function to prevent the submerged towing element 3 from floating backward the hull. If winds blow hard, the kite and wire can be used as aiding means for propelling the ship. The submerged towing member 3 which is provided with a sonar and so on can be positioned below the hull so that submarine investigation or the like can be performed accurately and easily.
