Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain excellent thermal stability by improving the contact between a heating section and a thermal recording medium by forming a wear-resistant layer composed of a low-oxide, a low-nitride, or a low carbide of a metal element selected from the group of Ta, Si, Ti, Al, Cr, W, B, Mo, and Zr. CONSTITUTION:A wear-resistant layer 26 is formed of a low-oxide, low-nitride, or low-carbide of a metal element selected from the group of Ta, Si, Ti, Al, Cr, W, B, Mo, and Zr. Since the wear-resistant layer 26 is made of a material having a high wear resistance, a self-regulative function is produced, and the contact state between the center 26a of the heating section and a thermal recording medium 27 can thus be improved in a short time.
