CONTACT MATERIAL FOR WATER TREATMENT AND PREPARATION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To hold a large amount of bacteria in an adhered state, by drawing out untwisted polyvinylidene chloride filaments from the spaces provided to the wound part of an untwisted bundled yarns and forming independent loops from said filaments in a non-bundled state. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of untwisted bundled yarns 2 and polyvinylidene chloride filaments 3 are arranged to the periphery of the core wire material 1 comprising an aluminum alloy or a vinyl chloride pipe in the oblique direction so as to be crossed to each other. The filaments 3 are drawn out from the spaces provided to the wound parts of the bundled yarns and independent loops are formed to the core wire material 1 from said filaments 3 toward the outside in the radial direction in a non-bundled state. Each untwisted bundled yarn are formed by bundling untwisted filaments comprising polyester, polyvinylidene chloride or polypropylene and a plurality of said bundled yarns are used.
