METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING FILLED TOP END OF CAISSON

PURPOSE:To quickly remove silt portion and extra-banking portion by a method in which a pair of shovels attached to a guide frame are positioned in a caisson and closely moved mutually in a sliding manner to rake up and house the extra- banking filler. CONSTITUTION:A pair of shovels 2 facing each other are attached slidably to a guide frame 1 of a sideways oblong form in such a way as to enable them to be opened or closed by a wire 9 for close action and a wire 10 for open action to make up a top end regulator. In removing extra-banking filler from a caisson 20, the top end regulator is hung down into the opening of the caisson 20 by a crane, and the wire 9 is wound up to move the shovel 2 in an opened state to the central direction. Both the shovels 2 are moved in a mutually closing manner, and thereby silt portion and extra-banking filler are raked up by the shovels 2 for housing. They are then discharged to the outside of the caisson 20 by hanging up the top end regulator again.
