Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To decrease the wrinkling of a flange and to obtain working accuracy by forming a step having the height of about half the height of the final flange to the flange then forming so as to rise. CONSTITUTION:A die 2 in the root part 7 of the arc 6 of an oil pan 4 is formed into such a shape at which the outside peripheral side part 2a is recessed by half the height H of the final flange. The outside peripheral side part of a blank holder 3 is formed so as to project to meet said recess. The step of half the height H is thus formed to the flange 5 of the part 7 along the line thereof by the die 2 and the holder 3. The flange 5 is then subjected to trimming to cut off the top end thereof. The length from the bent part to the top end of the flange 5 is thus made the height H. The top end of the flange 5 is finally formed to rise.
