Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the wear resistance of Al without deteriorating the machinabilty by adding prescribed amounts of Cu and Mg as well as Si. CONSTITUTION:The composition of an Al alloy is composed of, by weight, 10- 14% Si, 6-8% Cu, 0.3-2% Mg and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. The resulting Al alloy has superior wear resistance while holding the high machinability of a conventional Al alloy, so it is suitable for use in the manufacture of various machine parts such as a cylinder of VTR, a vane of a compressor and a swash plate of a swash plate type compressor.
