DRUM TYPE MAGNETIC RECORDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the occupation volume of a recording medium during storage by forming the recording medium in a flat plate shape and winding it around a drum for use. CONSTITUTION:When an operation indication is made, a loading mechanism operates and the recording medium 13 is taken out of a package 12 to the drum 18 by the rotation of takeout rollers 17a and 17b and brought into press contact with the drum 18 by a feed roller 17c across the adhesive layer 16 on the surface. Consequently, the medium 13 is joined to the drum 18 because of the adhesive layer 16 while peeled off the adhesive layer 15 of a base 14. Then, the drum 18 rotates together with the roller 17c and the medium 13 is wound around the outer periphery of the drum 18. Thus, the medium 13 is taken up and then the rollers 17a,17b, and 17c reverse to store the base 14 in the package again.
