MAGNETIC RECORDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To shorten an access time similarly to a disk medium and to facilitate the reproduction of a still picture by rotating a drum and moving a recording part or detection part axially on the surface of the drum. CONSTITUTION:The drum 1 which has a recording medium on the surface is rotated through a rotating shaft 2. The drum 1 is sandwiched between magnetic poles of a recording stylus 5 which has an auxiliary magnetic pole 3 and a main magnetic pole 4 fixed inside and outside respectively at a specific interval. Then, the stylus 5 moves on the periphery of the drum 1 relatively in parallel to the axial direction of the drum 1 as the drum 1 is rotated. A signal is supplied to the exciting coil of the main magnetic pole 3, which is magnetized to perform recording in a vertical magnetized film at the same position.
