Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:A microorganism in Saccharomyces, requiring purine and producing riboflavin, is cultured to enable high-efficiency production of riboflavin which is used as medicines, feed additive and food colorant, through fermentation process. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism in Saccharomyces, requiring purine and producing riboflavin, preferably Saccharomyces cerevisiae P-154 (FERM P-7562) is cultured in a medium to form and accumulate riboflavin. Then, the culture mixture is heated to dissolve the riboflavin and centrifuged to separate into cell bodies and the filtrate. The filtrate is reduced with titanium trichlorid to precipitate riboflavin, which is collected. |
