PAPER MONEY TRANSPORT APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To eliminate an disadvantage causing a bad operation during operation before starting the operation by detecting the delay of the passing time between sensors in comparison with the standard passing time to detect a paper jam, and changing over the permissible delay time to two kinds to detect a little delay. CONSTITUTION:When the first sensor S1 detects passing of paper money, a timer T is started. During normal operation, the timer T is set by a normal setting dial V1 and set at a time obtained by adding suitable permissible delay time produced by slippage to the standard passing time required for passing paper money between the first sensor S1 and the second sensor S1. If the timer T is reset in response to a detection signal from the second sensor S2 within the set time, it is judged that a paper jam occurs. SW indicates a mode change-over switch. In a check mode V2, a little permissible error is previously added to the standard passing time to find a set time, and it the case where paper money is temporarily caught in a transport path and again moved, the delay is detected to stop transport operation. Thus, the deterioration of a transport path is detected early.
