CONSTITUTION:After a sintered type nickel substrate with porous degree of 80% is impregnated in nickel nitrate water solution is impregnated nickel nitrate is changed into nickel hydroxide by means of sodium hydroxide water solution to make active material and a series of operation of water washing and drying is carried out repeatedly and in only final operation, the nickel nitrate used for impregnating the sintered type nickel substrate is changed into the active material in alkaline solution at high temperature and density in which cobalt hydroxide is dissolved in the sodium hydroxide water solution at temperature 60- 90 deg.C and density of 30% in saturation, and a nickel positive electrode for an alkaline storage battery is formed.
