FACE BAR CONVEYING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To chuck a titled face bar as well as to convey it and thereby make it attachable to another structural body so easily, by chucking both upper and lower ends of the face bar with a chuck mechanism on a chuck block being supported on a carriage, while tilting the chuck block and the face bar with a tilting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A chuck block 20 is tilted at a tilt angle of a wall member 3 with a tilting mechanism 50, while the chuck block 20 is made to go down with a lifting mechanism 30, lifting an upper jaw 42, then a carriage 10 is moved to the left, making the chuck block 20 contact with the wall member 3, lifting it up, and the wall member 3 is mounted on a lower jaw 41. Then, the upper jaw 42 is made to go down, hitting it an upper end of the wall member, thus the wall member 3 is chucked. Next, the wall member 3 is lifted up with the chuck block 10, then the carriage 10 is made to move horizontally, keeping away from a stock stand 60, and the chuck block 20 is restored in a vertical state with the tilting mechanism 50 whereby the carriage 10 is moved horizontally, and the wall member 3 is conveyed up to a house unit 70 of an assembling line, while the wall member 3 is tilted reversely with the tilting mechanism 50, and a lower setting piece 2b of a stud 2 is mounted on an upper plate part 75a and temporarily locked. Next, the wall member 3 is restored to verticality with the tilting mechanism 50 and coupled with a setting piece 2a and a lower plate part 74a.
