Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a chlorosilane disproportionation catalyst capable of performing disproportionation reaction with a short time even at a low temp. and high in a conversion ratio, by mixing a specific symmetric tertiary amine and hydrochloride thereof. CONSTITUTION:The titled catalyst is based on symmetric tertiary amine (e.g., tri-n-butylamine) represented by formulae RRN-R and RRN-RHCl (wherein R is a 4-12C alkyl group) and hydrochloride thereof, and the ratio of hydrochloride to symmetric tertiary amine is set to 2-80mol%. That is, in disproportionating and/or re-distributing at least chlorosilane selected from trichlorosilane, dichlorosilane and monochlorosilane, the above-mentioned mixture is used in an amount of 2-50mol% to chlorosilane as a catalyst. This catalyst can perform disproportionation reaction at a low temp. of below 150 deg.C within a short time and the conversion ratio thereof can be also enhanced.
