ABSORPTION OF GAS BY USING FLOATING GLOBULES

PURPOSE:To promote the contact mixing of gas and a liquid, in a gas absorbing method, by packing the space above the mesh net or perforated plate in an absorbing tower with floating globules and temporarily stopping the flow of the gas and the liquid, and subsequently scattering floating globules by the gas. CONSTITUTION:The space above the perforated plate or mesh net 2 of an absorbing tower 1 is packed with easily floatable globules 3 in a definite thickness. Now, an absorbing solution dripped from above is accumulated to a gas passing part because said gas passing part is clogged by floating globules while gas to be absorbed from below is also temporarily stopped and, during this time, the gas pressure rises and, when reaches definite pressure, floating globules are scattered by the gas. At this time, the absorbing solution adhered to the globules and that stayed on the mesh net or perforated plate are simultaneously blown up and the contact mixing of the absorbing solution and the gas is promoted.
