RADAR EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To suppress low the probability that a target is detected by a target- side radar and to track and search for the target by irradiating the target with a beam and performing the tracking and searching without setting the front surface of a radar antenna opposite to the target all the time. CONSTITUTION:Electric power when supplied to respective slots of an opening part by a feeding circuit 2 is shifted in phase by specific quanties through phase shifters 10a-10n to obtain such as phase distribution that the maximum amplitude direction of an antenna bean pattern deviates from the front of the antenna by a specific angle theta. A similar distribution is obtained even during reception, and then this antenna generates a beam which slants by the constant angle theta to the front of the antenna all the time. Therefore, when the target is tracked and searched for by the antenna, the angle obtained by correcting an offset angle 12, i.e. -theta through an adder 11 all the time to a beam direction command 13 which indicates the target direction is used as an antenna angle command 9 and supplied to a servo driving part 7 through a servo-amplifier 8 to control the driving part 7. Consequently, the echo sectional area of the radar antenna is reduced.
