Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic wave transmitter-receiver where ultrasonic wave attenuation is very less and its acoustic matching layer is protected from dirt and mechanical damage by tensing a protecting film while being adhered to the surface of the acoustic matching layer. CONSTITUTION:The acoustic matching layer 8 is bonded to an ultrasonic wave irradiating plane of a piezoelectric ceramic vibrator 7 and a back load member 9 is bonded to the back side of the vibrator 7. The plastic protecting film 10 is tensed adheredly to the surface of the acoustic matching layer 8 so as not to provide an air layer inbetween. In the ultrasonic wave transmitter-receiver with such structure, the thicker the plastic protection film 10 is, the more the center frequency is shifted toward lower frequency. Thus, in order to bring the center frequency with the protecting film close to the center frequency without the protecting film, the thickness of the acoustic matching layer 10 is formed thinner and the thickness of the protecting film 10 is nearly 0.003 time of the wavelength of the ultrasonic wave propagated in the plastic. |
