SELECTIVE CALLING RECEIVER WITH DISPLAY

PURPOSE:To avoid unnecessary calling by providing the 1st and 2nd call numbers to a receiver receiving a selective call signal and a display information signal, allowing the 1st number of perform call notice and information display and allowing the 2nd number to perform only the information display. CONSTITUTION:A radio frequency signal received by an antenna 1 is amplified/ detected/demodulated by a radio section 2, subjected to waveform shaping 3 and the result is converted into a digital signal and fed to a decoder 4. A programmable ROM5 is provided with plural call numbers in advance, the decoder discriminates whether the received number is the 1st number for the call notice or not and when the number is the 1st number, a speaker 8 is energized via a ring drive section 7 and displayed succeedingly for LCD display 10 via a liquid crystal display (LCD) drive section 6. When the received number is the 2nd information display number, only the LCD display 10 is performed. Thus, a carrier of receiver receiving a periodic information service is avoided from unnecessary ring tone to save the consumption of power battery.
