Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To attain cutting finish efficiently with as high recision as machined finish, by constructing the twisted tip groove of an assembled cutting tool body to be machined with a comparatively economical apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In a body machining method for the twisted groove of a milling tool, first, a spare workpiece B made of SNC3 is heated to 800 deg.C, and then pushed, in a molding die pre-heated to 800 deg.C. When the spare workpiece B is pushed in, its straight groove 4 is inserted into a twisted tip die 7, and this pushing-in movement enables the straight tip-inseting groove 4 to be twisted and transformed, profiling the twist of the die 7. At this time, the workpiece, heated to 800 deg.C, is so capable of being transformed that the load required for pushing-in may be just about 75kg. In this way, cutting finish with as high precision as the machined finish can be efficiently attained.
