METHOD FOR ADJUSTING GRAIN SIZE OF CARBONACEOUS MATERIAL FOR SINTERING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To adjust easily a carbonaceous material for a sintering machine to an adequate grain size at a high yield by drying the crushed carbonaceous material for the sintering machine by a drying machine, separating at the same time the pulverous carbonaceous material therefrom, classifying further the dry carbonaceous material and recycling the oversize carbonaceous material to the crusher. CONSTITUTION:A carbonaceous material for a sintering machine is classified by the 1st classifier r1 and the oversize carbonaceous material 4a is passed through a crusher c1 and is then fed together with the undersize carbonaceous material 4b to a dryer d. The carbonaceous material in the dryer is dried by the waste gas from the cooler 7 of a sintering machine 6 blown by a fan 10 and is separated of the pulverous carbonaceous material which is recovered by a dust collector 12. The dry carbonaceous material is passed through the 2nd classifier r2 by which said material is classified. The undersize carbonaceous material 16b having an adequate grain size is put into a sintering and compounding tank 17 and the coarse grains of the oversize carbonaceous material 16a are crushed by another crusher c2 and are then recycled to the above-mentioned dryer d.
