PURPOSE:To make easy for the multiplex of the buffer memory corresponding to a number of terminals, by adopting the run length coding a system possible for color display as the coding system and performing the code replacement in the buffer memory in a short time. CONSTITUTION:The black and white graph being an original of the color graph and the graph requiring correcting are inputted to the graph input section 11, the graph is coded and outputted, and the code is contained in the buffer memory 12. The code contained in the memory 12 is read out at the readout section 13 to give it to the code processing section 15. Further, the color given to the area of graph is designated for the initial value from the terminals 17 to 19 to the color designation section 16 by taking it R, G and B to increase the color from the terminals 21 to 23. Furthe, to the special code of the code read out in succession by the code conversion section 14, it is replaced with the color designated with the color designation section 16 and outputted. Moreover, the code output section 24 synthesizes the outputs from the conversion section 14 and the designation section 25 to output the signal requrired for the monitor 26, allowing to make easy for the multiplex of the memory 12 to a number of terminals.
